He was once a guest lecturer at Ritsumeikan University back in 1998, giving a talk on "Expression". Formerly an assistant of KAWAGUCHI Kaiji. NIHEI Tsutomu, MIYANO Tomochika, MANABE Shohei and SATO Shuho used to be his assistants. According to his appearance on “Urasawa Naoki no Manben” and interview on Comic Natalie, he doesn’t use any assistant for his works nowadays.
