He only read and drew gag manga before reading the second part of Kaiji and was shocked to find such an interesting thing exist in the world, then he started reading Kiseijuu and Yamikin Ushijima-kun when he was in high school. He participated in a contest by Shueisha and got small prize when he was in first year of high school. In third year in high school his oneshot of 100M. won Special Encouragement at Kodansha‘s 97th New Face Award. At the 98th New Artist Award, he won the Excellence Award with "Nyuusen”. Won the Grand Prize in the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize awards in 2022 for Chi - Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite. Was an assistant of FUNATSU Shinpei in Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo Gaiden: Hannin-tachi no Jikenbo. Other than FUKUMOTO Nobuyuki’s works, his favorites are Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou, Ping Pong, Death Note and Ajin. His favorite movies are District 9, Interstellar, Kirishima Shinsuikyo, and Taxi Driver. He also loves Quentin Tarantino’s works.
